January 29, 2020

Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP) announced that Lisa Hauser was recently appointed to the Audit Committees for Margaret A. Cargill Foundation and Anne Ray Foundation, both of which operate under the umbrella of Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies.

Lisa brings more than 30 years of experience to the Audit Committees. Most recently, she served as senior managing director in the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Risk Assurance practice and was a member of the firm’s Internal Audit and Governance Risk and Compliance teams. She has extensive experience working with for-profit and nonprofit organizations, including foundations. She has been recognized for her leadership, including as recipient of the “Women in Finance” Circle of Excellence award from Finance and Commerce and “Women in Business” Industry award from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

Lisa is also involved with several local nonprofits, including serving as chair of the finance committee and a member of the Board of Directors of CornerHouse, a nonprofit that supports children that have been impacted by violence and trauma. Additionally, she is board member for the local chapters of the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Institute of Internal Auditors.

The Audit Committees assist MACP’s Boards in fulfilling their responsibility for oversight of the integrity of the accounting, internal control, auditing, and financial reporting practices of the organizations. The Committees also recommend the appointment of the public accounting firm that issues an audit report on our financial statements, as well as provide oversight of the auditor.
