MACP Congratulates 2024 Summer Interns

Interning can be a key step in professional development. This summer our interns collaborated with MACP teams on projects to build their skills, grow their networks, and further their understanding of philanthropy. Please join us as we celebrate them and their achievements.

Paw Hsee, Intern, Finance. Paw (she/her) joined the Finance team, where she assisted the team with various projects, including tax return preparation, transaction processing, and annual budget planning. She was previously a Youth Leader Fellow with the Karen Organization of Minnesota, supporting Karen community members while developing her leadership skills, as well as assisting others through her job in home health care. Paw is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in accounting at Metro State University with an anticipated graduation in spring of 2026.

Ruwaida Mire, Intern, Finance. Ruwaida (she/her) joined the Finance team, where she assisted the team with various projects, including tax return preparation, transaction processing, and annual budget planning. She was previously an intern with Genesys, where she supported data, IT, and business operations projects at Optum. She also volunteered as a homework helper through the Hennepin County Library system. Ruwaida is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in MIS at the University of Minnesota with an anticipated graduation in Winter of 2027.

Quanita Mohammed, Intern, Programs. Quanita (she/her) joined the Local Initiatives team, where she conducted field research on philanthropy’s inclusive and equitable practices/principles, specifically within the context of MACP, and its Local Initiatives program. She is currently a graduate student at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, with an anticipated graduation in 2025. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and management studies from the University of Delhi and has previous experience in development and strategy consulting.

Aishwarya Nair, Intern, Investments. Aishwarya (she/her) joined the Investments team, where she assisted the Risk Management & Asset Allocation team with portfolio asset allocation and equity factor research. She previously completed a rigorous 4-week summer intensive program with Girls Who Invest, which focused on core finance and investment concepts and skills. Aishwarya is currently enrolled at Indiana University in the Kelley School of Business with a focus on finance and computer science, with an anticipated graduation in May of 2026.

J Nguyễn, Intern, Program Operations. J (they/them) joined the Program Operations team, where they assisted the team with supporting materials development, research, and Program learning. J previously worked as a Program Coordinator and Admin Specialist at the Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life at the University of Minnesota. J is currently enrolled in a master’s program for social work at Augsburg University and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a sociology minor from Augsburg University.

Enrico Petto, Intern, Investments. Enrico (he/him) joined the Investments team, where he assisted the Credit Strategies Group with investment manager due diligence and portfolio management. He was previously an intern at the Minnesota State Board of Investments, Signature Wealth Management, Sawmill Trust Company, and was also the founder and president of the Breck Investment Club. Enrico recently graduated from Breck School in Golden Valley, Minnesota and is currently enrolled at The University of Chicago, where he plans to major in business economics and data science.
